TorkLift F2002 Front Frame-Mounted Camper Tie Downs
The F2002 is a front pair of standard-steel camper tie downs for select 1997–2003 Ford F-150 round-body pickups with a 6.5-foot bed. TorkLift's application guide also covers select 1997–1999 F-250 light-duty round-body trucks with this bed length. Confirm the cab, body generation and equipment with the current Fit Finder: the 8-foot bed uses a different front part.
The Running-Board Difference
TorkLift lists F2002 for trucks whose running boards do not continue past the cab onto the bed. For full-length boards that do, its historical guide shows F4002 instead. This distinction matters even when the model year and bed length look correct. A 2004 F-150 may also be a different body style; check it separately rather than applying this year range automatically.
Kit and Installation
- One driver/passenger front pair with vehicle-specific frame brackets, removable inserts and mounting hardware.
- The rear tie-down pair and four spring-loaded turnbuckles needed for a complete camper connection are sold separately; rear fit depends in part on the installed hitch.
- TorkLift's older guide flags possible drilling for F2002; its current page states no drilling for listed 2001–2003 F-150 applications. Follow the instruction sheet for your exact truck rather than assuming all earlier years are no-drill.
The removable inserts leave the fixed receivers tucked below the truck when the camper is off. Verify camper weight against the vehicle's payload and axle limits before use.
