TorkLift F2001 Front Frame-Mounted Camper Tie Downs
The F2001 supplies a left and right front pair of steel frame-mounted camper tie downs for select 1997–2003 Ford F-150 round-body pickups with an 8-foot bed. TorkLift's application guide also lists the round-body F-250 light duty; the current F2001 listing specifies a 1997–1999 F-250 regular cab with an 8-foot bed. Confirm the exact truck before ordering. This is not the front kit for a 6.5-foot bed.
Choose by Bed and Running Boards
The 8-foot-bed F2001 appears in TorkLift's column for trucks without running boards that extend past the cab onto the bed. If the boards do extend onto the bed, the same historical guide points to F4001 instead. Cab-length boards and other installed accessories should still be checked in the current Fit Finder for the exact vehicle.
What This Front Pair Does
- Vehicle-specific steel brackets attach to the truck frame, providing two independent front camper anchor locations.
- Removable inserts supply turnbuckle attachment points when hauling; the receivers stay on the truck after the inserts are removed.
- The front pair and its mounting hardware are supplied. The matching rear pair and four spring-loaded camper turnbuckles are separate.
Select the rear tie downs for the installed rear hitch, rather than assuming one rear part fits every F-150. Follow F2001 installation instructions and verify the loaded camper remains within the truck's payload and axle ratings.
