TorkLift D1109 SuperHitch Original 20K
D1109 is a complete dual-receiver trailer hitch for 2014–2018 Dodge/Ram 2500 pickups. It gives a truck camper setup a vehicle-specific foundation for a compatible SuperTruss extension when towing behind a camper. Both upper and lower receivers have 2-inch openings.
Truck Fit
TorkLift lists 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Ram 2500 trucks with 6.5- or 8-foot beds, all cabs, 4x2 or 4x4, gas or diesel. The listed installation does not require drilling. Confirm the truck's exact configuration and the D1109 installation instructions before ordering.
Ratings Without an Extension
- Weight carrying: up to 17,000 lb trailer / 1,700 lb tongue.
- Weight distribution: up to 20,000 lb trailer / 2,000 lb tongue with an appropriate weight-distribution system.
A SuperTruss extension has its own lower ratings, which vary by length and towing setup. Never exceed the lowest rating of the truck, hitch, extension, ball mount or other component.
What Comes with the Hitch
TorkLift lists the D1109 receiver assembly, bolt and accessory hardware, two hitch pin/clips and installation instructions. A SuperTruss extension and the weight-distribution equipment needed for the higher rating are separate. If you also need camper tie downs, TorkLift identifies R3507 as the matching rear pair for this hitch; select the front pair separately.
