TorkLift E1642 Cannon — 42 Inches
The E1642 Cannon is a 42-inch hitch extension designed for a supported Ford Super Duty with a factory 3-inch receiver opening. It reaches a trailer connection beyond a truck camper's rear overhang. Confirm that the truck actually has the required factory receiver; E1642 is not a two-shank SuperTruss for a TorkLift SuperHitch and is not a 2- or 2.5-inch receiver extension.
42-Inch Capacity
- Weight carrying: up to 3,300 lb loaded trailer / 330 lb tongue weight.
- Weight distributing: up to 6,600 lb loaded trailer / 660 lb tongue weight when an appropriate weight-distribution system is installed.
These are TorkLift's 42-inch E1642 figures. Do not apply the higher ratings of shorter Cannon models or the 11,000-lb family maximum to this length. Observe the lowest limit of the Ford, factory hitch, extension, ball mount, weight-distribution equipment and trailer.
Setup Details
The internally reinforced Cannon uses a built-in set-bolt system, reinforced hitch-pin locations and included lateral-support safety chains. TorkLift lists compatibility with suitable 2- or 2.5-inch ball mounts at the extension output. Measure the loaded camper overhang and turning clearance before choosing 42 inches, and install the chains and extension exactly as directed.

Orders of $200 or more receive free 1–2 business day air service for eligible in-stock items; the estimate begins after dispatch. Oversized or remote shipments may take longer.
