The TorkLift E1542 is a 42-inch dual-receiver SuperTruss hitch extension for a compatible TorkLift SuperHitch towing system. It moves the trailer connection behind the rear overhang of a truck camper while using the SuperTruss lateral-support design. E1542 is the mechanical extension itself, not a complete hitch or a trailer wiring harness. Choose the length by measuring the camper's rear overhang and confirm the rating of the entire truck, hitch, extension and trailer combination.

Confirmed Fitment

• SuperTruss extensions work with compatible TorkLift SuperHitch dual-receiver systems. E1542 is not a generic extension for an ordinary factory single receiver or a Cannon three-inch system.
• TorkLift's extension chart rates E1542 at up to 6,000 lb trailer / 600 lb tongue with weight carrying, or up to 12,000 lb trailer / 1,200 lb tongue with a properly matched weight-distribution system. These are extension maxima, not guaranteed capacity for every truck and hitch.
• Some hitch applications impose a lower capacity or length restriction. The E1542 page footnote says SuperHitch F1005H requires at least a 48-inch SuperTruss because of lateral-chain interference; check the exact SuperHitch matrix before buying E1542.

Installation and Fitment Notes

• Measure the camper overhang with the camper installed: TorkLift says the distance from the truck bumper face to the outside of the camper's rear bumper is the minimum extension length. Check turning and ground clearances too.
• Use the lower applicable limit among the E1542 extension, exact SuperHitch, tow vehicle, ball mount and weight-distribution equipment. The 12,000/1,200-lb figure requires weight distribution; do not apply it to weight-carrying use.
• Check the SuperHitch model's compatibility, particularly the F1005H minimum-length note, and install the lateral-support chains and extension according to TorkLift's current instructions. Select W6042 wiring if the trailer connection needs to reach the extended position.
