TorkLift E1528 SuperTruss — 28 Inches
The TorkLift E1528 is a 28-inch SuperTruss dual-receiver hitch extension for a compatible TorkLift SuperHitch. It reaches a trailer connection beyond the rear overhang of a truck camper. It provides four more inches of reach than E1524 for a camper with a slightly greater rear projection. TorkLift's length-specific table sets this model apart from other SuperTruss sizes: 7,500 lb trailer / 750 lb tongue maximum in weight-carrying use, or 12,000 / 1,200 lb with a correctly configured weight-distribution system. These figures are limits for the listed extension arrangement, not a promise that every truck and hitch can tow that load.
Confirmed Fitment
- This SuperTruss uses the upper and lower openings of an application-appropriate TorkLift SuperHitch. It is not a single-shank extender for an ordinary factory hitch. Check the exact SuperHitch model and its current extension-capacity chart.
- Measure the camper's rear overhang and hitch reach with the camper on the truck. Select the shortest approved extension that clears the camper and permits the required trailer turning and safety-chain geometry; this part has a nominal 28-inch extension length.
- Verify the lowest rating among truck, installed SuperHitch, E1528, ball mount, weight-distribution equipment and trailer. Specialized hitch models can carry lower extension ratings than the published maximum; inspect the exact application matrix before towing.

Included and Required
One E1528 SuperTruss hitch extension. The vehicle-specific SuperHitch, ball mount, trailer wiring, and any required weight-distribution equipment are separate purchases. Follow the E1528 installation sheet to confirm all extension-specific connection hardware and lateral-support chains are present and correctly attached; do not assume a pictured accessory is included.
Installation and Fitment Notes
- TorkLift publishes the 28-inch row separately: weight carrying 7,500/750 lb and weight distributing 12,000/1,200 lb, trailer/tongue respectively. Weight distribution is required for the higher pair of figures.
- Use the manufacturer's current length and hitch matrix, then follow the exact installation instructions for insertion, retaining pins, lateral-support chains, clearances and trailer coupling. Confirm all components are rated together.
- The 28-inch model uses the W6028 32-inch wiring pigtail in TorkLift's table. Its WD ceiling is lower than E1524 even though their WC ceilings match.

Choose E1528 after measuring 28-inch reach and checking the specific SuperHitch capacity. The W6028 wiring pigtail is listed for this length and is separate; a longer extension does not inherit the rating of a shorter one.
