TorkLift A8002 GlowStep Revolution — 2-Step RV Stairs
TorkLift A8002 is a 2-step GlowStep Revolution assembly for an RV with an existing step well. It fits a 27.5 in opening between factory mounting brackets and a listed top-of-opening-to-ground height of 18.5–24 inches. The treads measure 8 in deep × 22.5 in wide.
Application and Fitment
- Measure the bracket spacing and height from the top of the step opening to the ground with the RV in its normal loaded position. A8002 requires a 27.5 in mounting opening and a 18.5–24 in height.
- Check the step-well structure, door movement and stored clearance. This is the step-well-mounted Revolution system, not a doorway-mounted Uprising or rear-camper Stow N’ Go set.
- A side-entry Host Camper installation requires the separate A8026 adapter bracket. Winnebago Hike uses the dedicated A10033 application.
Key Features
- All Terrain Landing Gear supports the lower step on the ground and lets the feet adjust independently for uneven terrain.
- 2 scissor-style steps fold into the step well. Aluminum and stainless-steel construction includes bolted bushing joints, SureGrip tread and glow markings.
- The maximum is 350 lb without GlowGuide. The 375 lb figure requires the optional compatible GlowGuide handrail.

Included and Required
One 2-step A8002 GlowStep Revolution system with its mounting assembly, All Terrain Landing Gear and the model’s bolt/accessory kits. GlowGuide, DirtDestroyer, SafeStep, Add-A-Step and application-specific adapters are separate.
Installation and Fitment Notes
- Follow the model-specific installation sheet for fastener placement and torque. Verify the attachment points before removing the original steps.
- Check full deployment, firm contact at both feet, door clearance and secure travel retention after installation.
- If you add a compatible A8001 step, reassess height, stored clearance and the resulting system load rating. The 3-step configuration is listed separately as A8003; never extend a six-step system to seven steps.
Before You Order
Select A8002 for a 18.5–24 in height and 27.5 in mounting opening. Allow the listed 11.5–12.5 in stored depth from the top of the opening. Confirm any required Host or Hike-specific application before purchase and apply the 350 lb limit unless a compatible GlowGuide is installed.
