TorkLift A7806 GlowStep Original — Six Steps
The TorkLift A7806 is a six-step GlowStep Original folding stair assembly with 8-inch-deep by 20-inch-wide treads. TorkLift lists it for an entry height of 46.5–54 inches, measured from the top of the step opening to the ground. Its scissor-style linkage extends downward to make a ground-supported route into a suitably mounted truck camper or RV entry. The A7806 belongs to the Original family; the similarly named GlowStep Revolution six-step A8006 uses a different system and fitment.
Confirmed Fitment
- Measure the step-opening-to-ground height with the camper loaded and parked on representative level ground. The manufacturer's A7806 range is 46.5–54 inches; pick a different step count outside that range.
- Confirm a flat, structurally suitable 20-inch-wide by 1-inch-high mounting area at the bumper or below the entry. The included universal surface bracket does not remove the need for safe support and door clearance.
- Check deployment to the ground, ground contact, door swing and the folded assembly's storage arrangement. TorkLift says the Original can be detached and folded for storage; a Stow N' Go travel-mount upgrade is separate.

Included and Required
One six-step A7806 GlowStep Original assembly and one universal surface mounting bracket, as listed in TorkLift's model table. The base load limit is 300 lb for this six-step 8-inch-tread model. TorkLift's 325-lb table figure applies only with the optional GlowGuide handrail. GlowGuide, All Terrain Landing Gear and Stow N' Go are not included.
Installation and Fitment Notes
- Verify the 46.5–54-inch entry-height measurement, mounting surface strength and travel/storage clearance before installation. Follow the A7806 instructions and supplied hardware guidance.
- Place the deployed assembly firmly on suitable ground and check each tread and hinge before stepping onto it. Optional All Terrain Landing Gear can help on uneven campsites but is not part of the base kit.
- Do not describe A7806 as Revolution or quote the 325-lb figure for the base assembly. The Revolution six-step part is A8006 and has a different mounting layout.
