TorkLift A7702 Fortress GasLock for 1/2-Inch Rods

The TorkLift A7702 Fortress GasLock is the 1/2-inch threaded-rod version of the manufacturer's dual propane tank security device. It locks a compatible trailer or RV propane tank hold-down assembly to deter tank removal while leaving the valves accessible. One central GasLock assembly serves a compatible dual-tank mounting arrangement.

Confirmed Fitment

  • For a compatible dual propane cylinder mount that uses an existing 1/2-inch coarse-thread hold-down rod. Measure the rod and verify thread type and bracket space before selecting the part.
  • A7701 is the separately numbered 3/8-inch GasLock. A7770 and A7771 are Airstream-specific versions with different applications; check the cover and mounting arrangement for an Airstream.
  • The device requires the existing tank tray, retaining bar and rod. It is not a propane regulator, cylinder or substitute for the original tank restraint.

Key Features

  • One lockable assembly helps deter theft of the pair of mounted propane tanks.
  • Tool-free fitting on supported hold-down rods without RV modifications.
  • Designed so tank valves remain accessible; TorkLift says the tanks can be filled while locked.
  • High-strength powder-coated aluminum construction, made in the USA.

One A7702 GasLock assembly, lock and keys. TorkLift's shared GasLock product page also lists a theft-deterrent decal with the kit. Propane cylinders, the existing threaded rod and retaining bar, regulator and an Airstream-specific bracket are not represented as included.

Installation and Fitment Notes

  • Measure the actual rod. TorkLift's product family names A7702 as the 1/2-inch variant and A7701 as the 3/8-inch variant; its archived application chart identifies the standard rod thread as coarse.
  • Check vertical clearance under any tank cover and ensure hoses and valves are not obstructed by the locked assembly.
  • Install and lock according to the supplied manufacturer instructions. Keep the spare key separately and continue the normal cylinder and LP system inspections.

Before You Order

Order A7702 for a confirmed 1/2-inch coarse-thread dual-tank hold-down. For a 3/8-inch rod choose A7701, and consider the separately numbered Airstream version when the propane cover or bracket requires it. This kit contains one central locking assembly for a compatible pair, not one lock per tank.
