TorkLift A7701 Fortress GasLock for 3/8-Inch Rods

The TorkLift A7701 Fortress GasLock secures a dual propane tank hold-down on a trailer or RV using its existing 3/8-inch threaded rod. Its lockable aluminum assembly helps deter removal of the tanks while keeping the propane valves accessible. The kit includes a lock and two keys; it is a tank-retention accessory, not a regulator, valve or propane container.

Confirmed Fitment

  • For compatible dual-cylinder propane mounts on trailers, towables and RVs equipped with a 3/8-inch threaded hold-down rod. Check the rod's actual diameter and thread before ordering.
  • A7702 is the separately identified 1/2-inch GasLock version. TorkLift also lists distinct Airstream-specific A7770/A7771 models; confirm the mount and cover before choosing A7701 for an Airstream.
  • Requires the existing tank tray, retaining bar and threaded rod. Match the space available above the tanks and beneath any propane cover.

Key Features

  • Locking assembly is designed to deter theft of both cylinders from a compatible dual-tank mount.
  • Tool-free installation on supported threaded-rod assemblies, without modifying the RV.
  • The manufacturer states that LP tank valves remain accessible and tanks can be filled while locked.
  • High-strength powder-coated aluminum construction; made in the USA.

Included and Required

One A7701 Fortress GasLock assembly, one lock with two keys and a theft-deterrent sticker, as stated on TorkLift's A7701 product page. Propane cylinders, mounting rod, retaining bar, regulator and any Airstream-specific bracket are not listed as included.

Installation and Fitment Notes

  • Measure the threaded hold-down rod itself. The manufacturer labels A7701 as the 3/8-inch variant and A7702 as the 1/2-inch variant, although one broad feature bullet on the A7701 page mentions both rod sizes; choose by the part-numbered variant and physical mount.
  • Check clearance for the lock beneath any tank cover and ensure valves, hoses and regulator remain unobstructed after installation.
  • Lock the retention hardware according to the manufacturer's instructions and retain the spare key separately. Inspect the LP system as usual; the GasLock does not replace tank restraints or propane safety components.

Before You Order

Confirm a 3/8-inch hold-down rod and the style of the dual-tank tray before ordering. Choose A7702 for a confirmed 1/2-inch rod, and check the Airstream-specific A7770/A7771 versions when that bracket or cover is required. This A7701 purchase is one lock assembly with keys, not a pair of independent tank locks.
