TorkLift A7602 SafeStep Barrier Mats
A7602 is a three-panel SafeStep mat kit for compatible GlowStep stairs. The panels cover open riser gaps to help keep pets and small children from slipping between the steps. TorkLift includes hook-and-loop attachment material so the panels can remain on the stairs when they are folded.
Application and Fitment
- For compatible SMARTSTEP GlowStep step systems; TorkLift says the mats can be used with most steps, so check the actual riser spacing and attachment surface.
- Each kit has three panels. Count the gaps you want to cover before ordering, especially on a longer stair assembly.
- This barrier accessory does not change the stair system’s load rating or replace supervision of children and pets.
Key Features
- Vertical panels fill open spaces between treads.
- Velcro-backed attachment permits the step assembly to fold with the panels in place.
- UV-protected material is intended for outdoor use and can be cleaned as needed.

Included and Required
The manufacturer lists three SafeStep mat panels and Velcro for attachment. The stair assembly is separate. A longer staircase may require additional coverage after its open gaps are counted.
Installation and Fitment Notes
- Attach the panels at the open risers according to the product instructions, keeping hinges and moving parts clear.
- Fold and deploy the stairs after installation to check that the barriers remain attached without binding.
- Inspect the attachment material periodically, especially after exposure to dirt and weather.
Before You Order
Confirm your step design and count the riser gaps. One A7602 kit contains three barrier panels; match the desired coverage to the staircase.
