TorkLift A7101 Cannon SkidWheel
A7101 is the TorkLift Cannon SkidWheel for compatible Cannon trailer receiver extensions. Its stainless-steel roller is positioned to contact the ground before the extension at steep driveway approaches, helping protect the extended towing setup from scraping.
Application and Fitment
- TorkLift lists A7101 for Cannon receiver extensions E1636, E1642 and E1648 used with the Ford factory 3-inch receiver system.
- The SkidWheel mounts under the Cannon extension near its lateral safety-chain attachment area; check the current mounting instructions and clearance.
- A7100 is the separate SuperTruss SkidWheel. A7101 is not a universal roller for other hitch extensions.

The A7101 SkidWheel includes installation hardware as stated by TorkLift. Verify the actual contents against the package and current instructions. The Cannon extension, Ford receiver, safety chains and trailer connection are separate parts of the towing setup.
Installation and Fitment Notes
- Install at the specified underside position near the end of the Cannon extension. Keep the safety-chain connection and trailer operation unobstructed.
- Confirm the extension part number before ordering and follow TorkLift fastener torque and clearance instructions.
- A skid wheel reduces contact damage risk but does not increase extension or vehicle towing ratings.
Before You Order
Check that your setup uses Cannon E1636, E1642 or E1648 with the applicable factory 3-inch receiver. Select A7100 instead only for a compatible SuperTruss extension.
