TorkLift A7004 Camper Anchor Repair and Relocation Kit

TorkLift A7004 moves a camper-side rear anchor point farther back when a turnbuckle would interfere with a dually truck fender. The kit may also be used to repair a damaged camper anchor location. It mounts to the camper anchor structure; it is not a truck-frame tie-down or a turnbuckle.

Application and Fitment

  • A common application is a Dodge/Ram dually with rear camper anchor geometry that puts the turnbuckle too close to the fender. Measure the actual camper and truck clearance; the adapter is not needed on every dually.
  • The camper-side front and rear anchor locations and supporting structure must accept the adapter. Confirm the camper manufacturer’s approved anchor and mounting arrangement before installation.
  • TorkLift’s instructions require at least 29 inches between the relocated camper anchor and the truck tie-down point when using its spring-loaded turnbuckles. Check the appropriate turnbuckle’s working length.

Key Features

  • Moves the rear camper anchor farther aft to improve the turnbuckle path around a dually fender.
  • Can provide a repair or relocation route for a damaged camper anchor point when the camper structure permits.
  • Uses a camper-mounted bar and stiffener assembly, distinct from the truck-mounted frame brackets.

Specifications

Part Number A7004
Function Camper-side rear anchor repair/relocation
Mounting Location Camper anchor structure
Common Use Dually fender clearance
Instruction-Listed Components Four angle members, two stiffener brackets, shims and specified fasteners
Spring-Loaded Turnbuckle Clearance At least 29 in. from new camper anchor to truck tie-down per TorkLift manual

Included and Required

The TorkLift A7004 installation manual lists four angle members, two stiffener brackets, four rectangular shims and the specified bolts, washers and nuts. Compare the received package with the current supplied packing list. Truck-mounted tie downs and camper turnbuckles are separate.

Installation and Fitment Notes

  • The manufacturer guide shows a predrilled forward adapter hole and calls for drilling the rear hole in the adapter at the camper anchor location. Follow the current supplied instructions, including any hardware and torque specifications.
  • Check the loaded camper position, fender clearance and turnbuckle angle. Do not treat the adapter as a remedy for an unsound camper anchor structure.

Before You Order

Measure the existing camper anchor positions and dually fender clearance, confirm that the camper structure can support the adapter, and check the turnbuckle length. A7004 is for camper-side anchor relocation or repair, not a replacement truck tie-down pair.
